Malshej Ghat

Malshej Ghat is a scenic place to visit near Mumbai especially during the monsoon. Around 130 km from Mumbai, this place is too close to a crowded city like Mumbai and one can go and relax at this place.
Route- Dadar-Thane-Kalyan-Murbad-Malshej Ghat.
There are numerous signboards and you will face no difficulty in reaching this place.

Speciality:

In the monsoons it is a veritable waterfall paradise as the entire hill side is covered with hundreds of waterfalls and mist. Some are so big that they fall over the road. There is a stretch just before the Malshej Ghat small tunnel where there are three such waterfall canopies over the road and it is quite a thrill to walk this length, watching out for traffic of course as it is the Kalyan Nagar State Highway.

Things to Enjoy:

There are lots of options to enjoy and revel in the multitude of waterfalls. Climb up to Harishchandragad with a local guide, walk into and explore the dense jungles along the stream paths, walk along the plateau and experience the boomerang effect near the edge. It is great to enjoy nature at its marvelous monsoon best.
